I’ve never liked SE devices - this one isn’t going to make me change my opinion. Before considering its specs, let me talk about SE ultra-deficient marketing department. The two “official” SE websites looks to have been made by amateurs - the specs website is total disaster. As for the device itself, they’ve chosen the wrong colours for displaying the panels… (This may be the last time I’m posting a SE device).
Anyway, the device has a very innovative (while ultra-ugly) panel interface built on Windows Mobile 6. It has a touchscreen & loads of buttons (triangular!?!?!). OK, I admit it has a very large screen (800x480) & microSD slot (instead of Memory Stick), but it is ugly-looking. Only 400MB of memory. If you are adding a QWERTY slider (which is ripped from an ATM), you would expect more gadgets… but there’s only WiFi, GPS & 3.2 MP camera… Goodbye SE. Back to business with Nokia in the next post!
It's rumoured that HTC made this device for SE... so it may explain why it's so "good."

huhu nice :P on the contrary i've always disliked nokia phones, never got used to them i guess :P
my first phone was a SE t230 (which i almost immediately voided the warranty by hacking it inside out :P) same for my recent k750, flashed and patched to the core. (guess am a tweaker,:P) and that's what i like in most SE phones i've seen till now.
I still agree though, this handset is not really interesting, but hey i could say the same for some of the "modern" nokia handsets hein :P
anyways, am waiting for them to release their w965 (still a prototype atm) :P
I'm a big SE fan, and I love my Z610i, though it's not the latest hit on the market, it has what I need. The only lacking feature is the ability to zoom in on saved pictures! WTF! How could they ever forget that?
I recently moved away from Nokia cuz they make bulky and buggy phones sometimes. I bought a 6101, a discarded it in less than a month.
However, I got to agree. That SE Xperia or whatever it's call is plain ugly. I never liked sliding QWERTY or whatever. I prefer the old numeric keypad.
Whatever comes out, SE makes sexy phones. The only problem I find with SE is that most of their models have relatively the same specs, just different forms. Weird..
I was quite a neutral until i got my beloved 7610... From that instant i turned into a Nokia fanboy.
I like (high-end) Nokias bcoz of the OS, the specs & the design.
I've always found Nokias to be reliable, the UI is great (max customization) & i can use loads of apps.
I don't like SE bcoz of the lack of OS... & the fact that all devices have *normal* specs.
