After 2 days of iPhonemania, I’ve decided to find out whether iPhone deserves all the hype it has been generating - the hottest gadget of 2007, the product of the year, a technological milestone…

What’s good in iPhone?
iPhone’s greatest asset is its multi-touch interface. It’s really very impressive… the only thing better than this is Surface. Tapping, sliding, pinching & flicking. In less than 5s, you learn how to browse through the phone since it’s instinctive & the OS observes your hand motions to reciprocate real-life motion.

Specs: - 4Gb/8Gb Flash hard drive, 2MP camera, 3.5-inch HVGA screen, quad-band, EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, OS X, 3.5mm jack, 620 MHz ARM CPU.
Talk time: 8h
Standby: 250h
Music playback: 24h
Home (i.e. the main menu) - great-looking icons, simple & elegant. (Nokia should take note since in some of their models you can easily see the pixels on the icons)

Slide to unlock - Why didn’t anyone think of this before? (Although this method of unlocking has just been ported on Windows Mobile 6 devices with touchscreen)

The Accelerometer - a sensor that automatically allows you to change to landscape mode.
(Nokia has this on the N95, but there’s no sensor, you have to open the top slider to change to landscape mode)

Cover Flow - your iTunes library on iPhone.

Magnify - That’s the best feature I've seen on iPhone.

Photos - iPhone is easily the best device to view photos. (Pinch & Flick)

Google Maps - That's not Google Earth, but it's still great.

YouTube - works seamlessly.

iPod - That’s the best music playing interface I’ve ever seen. (Although big fingers will have trouble moving the small seek button accurately)

Ok, in short, iPhone is one of the best products made by Apple, is a technological innovation & according to Steve Jobs, the best iPod ever made, but....
